North Allegheny School Bomb Threat One of Many Across Country

Bomb-threat hoaxes have hit schools this week in several states. Among those affected is North Allegheny's Carson Middle School.

The bomb threat Thursday that prompted North Allegheny School District officials to cancel an orchestra concert and order students out of Carson Middle School is one of numerous similar incidents this week in Pennsylvania and other states.

Across the state, Emmaus High School is closed Friday as officials sweep the building to make sure it is safe in the wake of a bomb threat. After-school activities were canceled Thursday because of the threat.

The scares come a week after a mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.
