ST. ALPHONSUS STUDENTS RAISE MONEY FOR ANIMAL FRIENDS THROUGH LENTEN ACTS OF KINDNESS PROJECT

Wexford, PA—May 14, 2014—Third grade students from St. Alphonsus in Wexford have raised more than $778 for Animal Friends through a Lenten Acts of Kindness Project and donations from two special students who have donated their birthday presents to the cause.

According to Kim McCosby, third grade teacher, “each student was asked to earn money for doing jobs around the house or doing something nice for someone else.  They were instructed to save the money in a special clay pot they made in art class.”
