McCandless Crossing Update: Doodle Bugs Children's Center Opens

The new day care is located in the west section of McCandless Crossing on Duncan Avenue, just past Lowe's on the left.

The newly constructed Doodle Bugs Children's Center, located in McCandless Crossing, hosted its grand opening over the weekend.

“You are a wonderful addition to the McCandless Crossing project," said McCandless Council President Robert Powers Jr. "It has been a pleasure working with you and we look forward to continue to do so in the future."

According to Beth Williams, lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Doodle Bugs, 30 children are enrolled, although childcare is not scheduled to begin for another two weeks.

Childcare can begin as early as six weeks and can continue until 12 years of age. The Infant Program ranges from age six weeks to 12 months, the Toddler-Younger Program ranges from 12 to 24 months, the Toddler-Older Program from 24 to 36 months, the Preschool Program from three to four years of age, the Pre-Kindergarten Program from four to five years and the School Age program from five to 12 years of age.

Doodle Bugs also offers a Before and After School Program and Summer Camp. Transportation is available if needed.
