McCandless Crossing Child Care Center to Host Free Summer Kick-off Picnic

The summer picnic will include arts and crafts, picnic-style refreshments, tours of the facility.

The new child care center in McCandless Crossing, Doodle Bugs! is hosting a free, summer kick-off picnic, June 6, from 5:30 to 7:70 p.m.

The summer picnic will include arts and crafts, picnic-style refreshments, tours of the facility and a chance to learn more about the centers’ summer camp programs. The event is open to the public.

“Doodle Bugs! goes beyond providing educational child care," said Anthony Insinna, president and CEO of Doodle Bugs! in a statement. "We strive to be an integral part of the community, fostering bonds between our educators and parents. This event is a terrific opportunity for local families to come together and enjoy a fun event.”

Doodle Bugs! offers summer camps for 3-5 year olds, and 5-12 year olds. Both programs offer flexible scheduling options, field trips, daily clubs, and learning activities.

“Summer is all about non-stop fun," said Kelly Abbott, director of Doodle Bugs! McCandless. "Our Summer Kick-off Picnic is the official start of our fun summer program and we’re excited to share that with local parents. Whether it is a trip to the zoo, learning to harvest crops through the daily garden club or discovering sculpting during the weekly theme, our camp offers something exciting for everyone.”
