McCandless Crossing Update: Big Change of Scenery Along McKnight Road

Gone is the small forest of trees that blocked the view of LaRoche College, Providence Heights, and UPMC Passavant from McKnight Road.

The view along McKnight Road between Duncan Avenue and Cumberland Road in McCandless is significantly different than just a few weeks ago. Massive earthmoving machines have cleared the site for the new McCandless Town Center.

Gone is the small forest of trees that blocked the view of LaRoche College, Providence Heights, and UPMC Passavant from McKnight Road. (Video).

Construction on some of the anchor tenants for the final phase of McCandless Crossing, including a Dick's Sporting Good store, a HomeGoods store, a Cinemark theater, several restaurants and 53 Ryan townhouses is expected to begin in early September.
