Taco Bell Offers Free Doritos Locos Tacos, Thanks to World Series Steal

The offer is only good today from 2-6 p.m. and is thanks to a stolen base by San Francisco Giants player Angel Pagan during the World Series.

Although the Pittsburgh Pirates didn't even come close to making it to the World Series this year, baseball has one last gift to give us from the 2012 season: free tacos.

The giveaway is a result of the "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion by Taco Bell, which promised to give away free food if a base was stolen during the World Series. The San Francisco Giants' Angel Pagan did just that in Game 2, sliding into second base and effectively earning free tacos for most of the country.

To collect on the taco bonanza, head to a participating Taco Bell location from 2-6 p.m. today. Just try not to get too misty-eyed thinking about what might have been for the Pirates this season, and be thankful, at least, that something good come out of it.

Taco Bell locations locally include:

  • 4801 McKnight Road, McCandless
  • 9797 McKnight Road, Wexford
  • 5600 Willian Flynn Highway/Route 8, Gibsonia
