Traffic Alert: Road Restrictions Resume on Warrendale Bayne Road

The project, which will involve round-the-clock restrictions, is expected to wrap up by summer.

Commuters on Route 19 at the border of Marshall and Cranberry townships near the Thorn Hill Industrial Park may want to allow some extra time starting today.

Beginning at 9 a.m., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will resume weather permitting.

During the project, traffic on Warrendale Bayne Road will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the northbound Intertstate 79 (Exit 75) off-ramp and Harmony Road.

These restrictions will remain in place around-the-clock through mid-August.

The project, which began in August, will create significant improvements for the traveling public on Warrendale Bayne Road between Route 19 and Brush Creek Road, PennDOT officials said in a statement.

The project also includes improving the northbound I-79 off-ramp to Warrendale Bayne Road and the intersections of Innovation Drive and Warrendale Bayne Road and Route 19 and Thorn Hill Road.

Overall work is expected to conclude this summer.

The prime contractor for the project is the John Gulisek Construction Company of Mt. Pleasant.
