North Allegheny QB Leftwich, OL Kugler Among Honorees at Mr. PA Football Banquet

Penn State Head Coach Bill O'Brien is scheduled to speak and present awards to Pennsylvania student-athletes Saturday night in Hershey.

Two members of North Allegheny Senior High School's state-champion football team will be among the honorees Saturday night at the Mr. PA Football awards in Hershey, Dauphin County.

Quarterback Mack Leftwich and offensive lineman Patrick Kugler are among five student-athletes to receive awards in the Big School Class AAA/AAAA category. Both seniors played on the North Allegheny varsity team that won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class AAAA championship in 2012.

The only Western Pennsylvania player to be honored in the Small School Class AA/A category is Tyler Boyd, a senior running back on Clairton High School's Class A state championship team.

Winners were chosen from among votes cast by 86,000 people, according to a statement from Sports Recruiters.com, which presents the Mr. PA Football awards.

Penn State Head Football Coach Bill O'Brien is the scheduled speaker and presenter at the awards banquet Saturday night at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.
