North Allegheny Seeks Applicants for School Board Vacancy

The person selected will serve until the first Monday of December.

The North Allegheny School Board is seeking applicants to fill the seat left vacant by Wednesday's resignation of Beth Ludwig. 

The individual who is selected will serve in this role until the first Monday of December 2013, following the next municipal election.

According to a release posted on the North Allegheny School District website, the selection process is as follows:

Interested residents of the district may obtain an application for this position by contacting the board secretary or clicking here. Completed applications and a letter of interest must be received no later than Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 4:00 pm in the school board office, 200 Hillvue Lane, Pittsburgh 15237. 

The school board will conduct individual public interviews of all qualified applicants at the close of their March 20 combined meeting, which begins at 7 pm. Applicants will be interviewed based upon the order in which their applications are received. They will receive verification of their interview appointment and further instructions via mail prior to March 20.

The new board member will be selected by a public vote of the board following the interview process. The oath of office will be administered immediately following the vote of the  board and acceptance of the candidate.  The new board member will assume his/her duties immediately.
