Here is his statement to North Allegheny Patch, announcing his run for reelection:

During my tenure on the North Allegheny Board of School Directors I have followed the North Allegheny School District Mission and Vision statements.  Educate and develop all students to become confident, life-long learners and responsible citizens.  To be a safe and student-centered community partnership marked by high expectations, a challenging curriculum, and a shared commitment to educational excellence through rich and varied learning experiences.

My vote is always thought about in this order:

  1. What is best for the students.
  2. What is best for the district
  3. What is best for the community
  4. What is best for me.

I have been passionate in my belief that North Allegheny should always strive to be one of the top 100 school districts in the country.  Many of our programs have achieved that lofty goal.  Not striving for excellence is working toward mediocrity.  Mediocrity is unacceptable.
