I have served on the North Allegheny School Board since December 2005. During my time on the school board, I have voted against higher taxes.

I have also been integral in implementing several initiatives for the betterment of the district. These initiatives include the construction of a new Student Council room at NASH (students raised a portion for the construction and I found a contractor who offered to donate their services to complete the construction,) the creation of fitness trails at NAI, the implementation of a new CPR program for 9th grade students, and the expansion of the district's drug prevention policies at NASH and NAI.

Additionally, I have been a community advocate for residents opposed to the closure of Peebles Elementary. I believe that the District has a great opportunity to generate revenue via alternative revenue sources not currently being aggressively pursued by the District.
